Randy L. Maddox

Maddox, Randy L. b. Jerome, Idaho, 3 September 1953. Maddox earned degrees from Northwest Nazarene College (BA in Religion and Philosophy, 1975), Nazarene Theological Seminary (MDiv, 1978) and Emory University (PhD, 1982). He began his teaching career at Sioux Falls College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1982. He moved to Seattle Pacific University in 1998, to an endowed chair in Wesleyan Theology. And in 2005 he moved again to the Divinity School at Duke University, where he was the William Kellon Quick Professor of Wesleyan and Methodist Studies until retirement in 2020.
