Armin Haeussler
HAEUSSLER, Armin. b. Lewiston, Minnesota, 24 May 1891; d. Glenview, Indiana, 16 July 1967. Distinguished hymnologist and pastor, Haeussler is best known for The Story of Our Hymns, The Handbook to the Hymnal of the Evangelical and Reformed Church (St Louis, Missouri, 1952, Third Edition, 1954). He was first-born from the marriage of Rev Carl Herman (1862-1913), a German-born member of The German Evangelical Synod of North America, and Elizabeth Catherine (Scherer; 1871-1965).
