When Abra’am, full of sacred awe. Elizabeth Scott* (1708–1776). This hymn appears in the manuscript collection, Hymns and Poems by Elizabeth Scott*. In a modern numbering of those 90 hymns and poems, this one is indexed as H54. A transcription of H54 showing Scott’s heading, spelling (some of which are idiosyncratic), punctuation, and capitalizations follows below.  Possibly H54 was included in Scott’s Collection as early as 1740, as this date appears in her letter to her father that accompanied some of her hymns.
