Tony Alonso
ALONSO, Antonio [Tony] Eduardo. b. Miami, Florida, 9 March 1980.
Cuban-American Tony Alonso is a leading figure in contemporary Catholic liturgical music and a theology professor. His extensive educational background includes a BM in Choral Conducting from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (2002), an MA in Theology from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California (2011), and a PhD in Religion from Emory University, Atlanta (2017). He currently holds the position of Aquinas Associate Professor of Theology and Culture at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.
