Tony Alonso

ALONSO, Antonio [Tony] Eduardo. b. Miami, Florida, 9 March 1980.  Cuban-American Tony Alonso is a leading figure in contemporary Catholic liturgical music and a theology professor. His extensive educational background includes a BM in Choral Conducting from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (2002), an MA in Theology from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California (2011), and a PhD in Religion from Emory University, Atlanta (2017). He currently holds the position of Aquinas Associate Professor of Theology and Culture at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.  Alonso has also served as a lay ecclesial minister of music in Roman Catholic communities in Los Angeles...
