There is no moment of my life
There is no moment of my life. (William) Brian Foley* (1919-2000).
This hymn, based on the principal theme of Psalm 139, was one of 14 by Foley in New Catholic Hymnal (1971). Its elegant simplicity and its perfect rhythmical structure have commended it to other hymnbook compilers, and it is found in HP, BPW, ICH5, and Sing Glory (1999). It was set in NCH to MY LIFE IN GOD by Elizabeth Poston*, a tune specially commissioned for the book, but it has since been set to a number of tunes, notably GERONTIUS and KENWYN.
