Like most of Natalie Sleeth’s hymns, ‘There’ll be joy in the morning’ was originally an anthem. It was written for the West Virginia Wesleyan College concert choir in 1977 on the occasion of her husband Ronald E. Sleeth’s inauguration as president of the College. Hope Publishing Company* acknowledges that this is its best-selling anthem of all time, having sold over one million copies. It has also been arranged in several other versions for various choral voicings, orchestra, brass, four-hand piano, and handbells.
