Star-child, earth-child. Shirley Erena Murray* (1931-2020). Written in 1993, this hymn has been translated into several languages, among them Estonian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, French and German, and has appeared in a number of national and international hymnals since its first publication in Every Day in Your Spirit (1993), including Carol our Christmas (1996), BBC Songs of Praise (1997), Worship and Rejoice (2001), Voices Found: Women in the Church’s Song (2003) and Sing for Peace (2004).
