Soon and very soon. Andraé Crouch* (1945-2015).
This song was first published in sheet music form (Waco, Texas, 1976) (Daw, 2016, p. 384), and first heard in 1976 on Andraé Crouch and the Disciples’ album, ‘This is another day’ (Companion to ICH5, 2005, p. 220). Stanza one is based on Revelation 22: 7 (and 12, 20). Stanzas 2 and 3 draw on Revelation 21: 3-4: ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying...’ (KJV). The song begins:
