Seth Curtis Beach
BEACH Seth Curtis. b. Marion, New York, 8 August 1837; d. Watertown, Massachusetts, 30 January 1932. He was educated at Antioch and graduated from Union University, Schenectady, New York (AB 1863, STD 1903) and Harvard Divinity School in 1866. Entering the Unitarian ministry, he first ministered at Augusta, Maine (1867-1869). Ill health then led him to take up farming in Minnesota for four years. In 1873 he returned to New England as a minister serving at Norton (1873-1875), Dedham (1875-1888), Superintendent Missionary work for the American Unitarian Association in Northern New England (1888-1891), Bangor, Maine (1891-1901) and Wayland (1902-1911).
