Sarah Geraldina Stock
STOCK, Sarah Geraldina. b. Islington, London, 27 December 1838; d. Penmaenmawr, North Wales, 29 August 1898. She was an author of many religious books, some of which were for children, and some of which were concerned with missionary work. They included The Child’s Life of our Lord (1879), From the call to the glory; or, Some names of Christ’s people (1881), Bible Stories from the Old Testament (1882), Four last words from the Book of God (1889), The story of Uganda, and the Victoria Nyanza Mission (1894, Second Edition, 1894), and Missionary heroes of Africa (1898). She published a poem, Life abundant (1883), and other poems entitled Joy in Sorrow (1884), a small book of seventeen poems...
