Ross Calvin Coggins
COGGINS, Ross Calvin. b. Wichita Falls, Texas, 23 November 1927. He was educated at Baylor University (BA 1948) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (BD 1951). After ordination he worked for the Baptist Student Department (1951-53), becoming Baptist Student Union Director, North Texas State University (1953-55). He was a Baptist missionary in Indonesia (1955-61): Southern Baptists are among the most mission-minded denominations, especially in ‘foreign missions’ (now known as international missions).
