Richard Sturch
STURCH, Richard Lyman. b. 27 July 1936. He studied at Christ Church, Oxford (BA 1958, First Class in Literae Humaniores (Greek, Latin, Philosophy); MA 1961). He trained for the Anglican ministry at Ely Theological College. Ordained in 1962, he served curacies at Hove and Burgess Hill, both in Sussex, and also at St Michael’s, Oxford. After four years as a Tutor at Ripon Hall Theological College (1967-71), during which he took his Oxford D.Phil (1970) he went to West Africa as Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Nigeria.
