Richard Granville Jones
JONES, Richard Granville. b. Dursley, Gloucestershire, 26 July 1926; d. West Bridgford, Nottingham, 5 March 2022. He was educated at Truro School and St John’s College, Cambridge. After service in the Royal Navy, he went to Hartley Victoria College, Manchester, entering the Methodist Ministry in 1950. He worked with the Student Christian Movement (1953-55) and then served in Circuits in Sheffield (1955-64) and Birkenhead (1964-69) before returning to Hartley Victoria College as Tutor and subsequently Principal (1978-82).
