R. Deane Postlethwaite

POSTLETHWAITE, R. Deane. b. Concordia, Kansas, 16 March 1925; d. Annandale, Minnesota, 7 October 1980. A United Methodist pastor and Kansas native, Postlethwaite received his education from the University of Kansas (BA 1947; MA, 1948), Union Theological Seminary (New York, MDiv., 1956), and United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, New Brighton, Minnesota (DMin., 1979). He taught political science at Baker University, Baldwin, Kansas (1948-1951). From the obituary for his wife, Marjean, we learn that Postlethwaite was ordained as a deacon in 1956 and as an elder in 1958 in the United Methodist Church, serving churches in the Twin Cities area (Prospect Park, Good Samaritan, and...
