Pamela Ward
WARD, Pamela. b. Clitheroe, Lancashire, 23 November 1946. Educated at Clitheroe Grammar School, Ward studied at the universities of Edinburgh (MA 1969) and Manchester (BD 1972). She has served as a United Reformed Church minister at Southella, Hull (1972-78), Wigton Moor, Leeds (1978-84), Erdington, Birmingham (1984-97) and Rothbury, Thropton and Birdhopecraig, Northumberland (1997- ).
Ward has composed two hymn tunes, HOLLY LANE and PENHILL, for Fred Kaan*’s ‘The church is like a table’*, and ‘God of Eve and God of Mary’, respectively.
