Olive Wise Spannaus
SPANNAUS, Olive Adelaide (née Wise). b. St Louis, Missouri, 23 January 1916; d. Seattle, Washington, 10 May 2018. Olive Wise was educated at Normandy High School, Brown’s Business College and Washington University in St Louis. In 1939 she married the Revd Ruben Edward Spannaus (1913-2006), and lived in Seattle, Washington (1942-57), and Elmhurst, Illinois (1957-78), before retiring with her husband to Seattle. She was included in a documentation of ‘key feminists who ignited the second wave women’s movement’ in the USA (Love, 2006).
