Norman Warren
WARREN, Norman. b. Sydenham, London, 19 July 1934; d. probably Leamington Spa, 19 June 2019. He was educated at Dulwich College (a British Public - i.e. Independent - School) and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (BA 1958, MA 1962). At Cambridge he was a pupil of Boris Ord* and David Willcocks*, becoming a recital organist. After theological training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, he took Holy Orders (deacon 1960, priest 1961). He was a curate at Bedworth, Coventry, and incumbent at Leamington Spa (1963-77) and Morden, south London (1977-89), before appointment as Archdeacon of Rochester (1989-2000).
