Natalie Sleeth

SLEETH, Natalie Allyn (née Wakeley). b. Evanston, Illinois, 29 October 1930; d. Denver, Colorado, 21 March 1992. Natalie Wakeley began piano lessons at age four; while growing up she sang in various choral ensembles. She studied music theory, piano and organ at Wellesley College in Massachusetts (BA 1952). That same year she married Ronald E. Sleeth (1921-85), a homiletics professor. His itinerate teaching career brought her into contact with theologians and musicians in Evanston, Nashville, Dallas, and Denver. She was organist in churches in Chicago and Nashville.
