Musica Ecclesiae, or Devotional Harmony, Parts 1-3.
These three volumes, compiled by Daniel Read* between 1826 and 1836 were edited in modern notation by Karl Kroeger* and Marie Kroeger (1935- ) as Musica Ecclesiae, or Devotional Harmony, Parts 1-3 (Recent Researches in American Music, volumes 48-50, Middleton, Wisconsin: A-R Editions, 2004).
Part 1 includes 124 tunes, representing composers William Tans'ur*, Thomas Ravenscroft*, Thomas Arne*, Daniel Read, Martin Madan*, Jeremiah Clarke (I)*, George Frideric Handel*, Timothy Swan*, Nikolaus Herman*, William Croft*, and William Billings*; there were 39 anonymous tunes.
