Mit Freuden zart zu dieser Fahrt. Georg Vetter* (ca. 1536- 1599).
This hymn, ‘with tender joy on this journey’ (the interpretation of the first line is problematic), is found in EG in the Ostern (Easter) section (EG 108). It is a hymn on the resurrection, ‘Von der aufferstehung Christi’. It is found in Wackernagel, Das Deutsche Kirchenlied IV. 459-61, in 13 verses of 11 lines (the internal rhymes in the EG text, lines 1, 5, 6, are separate lines in DDK: the EG text therefore has 7-line stanzas).
