Milburn Price
Price, Shelby Milburn. b. Electric Mills, Mississippi, 9 April 1938. Author, educator, composer, hymnologist, and choral conductor, he attended the University of Mississippi (1960), Baylor University (MM, 1963) and the University of Southern California (DMA, 1967).
Price served on the faculty of the Department of Music, Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina (1967-81, Chair, 1972-81); and was Dean of the School of Church Music, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, (1981-93).
