Miguel Manzano
MANZANO, Miguel. b. Villamor de Cadozos, Spain, 13 February 1934; d. Zamora, Spain, 15 May 2024).
Miguel Manzano Alonso was a Spanish musician, composer, and professor. Beginning in 1946, he attended diocesan seminaries in Salamanca and Zamora for twelve years, where he commenced his musical studies in piano and organ. Following seminary, he attended Conservatorio Professional de Valladolid, focusing on choral music and guitar. He completed his musical curriculum at Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid in musicology with an emphasis on Gregorian chant and religious polyphony.
