GREEN, Melody. b. Hollywood, California, 25 August 1946. From a family of Russian émigrés, she met Keith Green* in the 1970s, and with him set up the ‘Last Days Ministries’, which promoted contemporary worship, rescued people in trouble, and travelled widely. They were described in the Companion to ICH5 as ‘a reformed hippie couple’ who ‘saw their new mission as being primarily with the hippie community’ (p. 184). When Keith and two of her small children were tragically killed in 1982, Melody undertook a nation-wide tour of evangelical meetings, the Keith Green Memorial Concerts.
