Mary Louise VanDyke
VANDYKE, Mary Louise Enigson. b. Rochester, Pennsylvania, 28 February 1927; d. Oberlin, Ohio, 12 December 2021. Hymnological researcher, author and educator, VanDyke attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, Ohio (BME, 1947), Western Reserve University [now, Case Western Reserve University] Cleveland, Ohio (MA, 1953), and Kent State University, Kent, Ohio (MA, 1967).
VanDyke served as Library Associate, Oberlin College, (1984-2010), and from 1984 until 2010, she was Coordinator of the Dictionary of American Hymnology Project (subsequently the Dictionary of North American Hymnology*), a work hosted by Oberlin College.
