Martin Clarke

CLARKE, Martin Vaughan. b. Caerphilly, South Wales, 1982. Clarke is a Wesley scholar, professor, organist, and church musician, residing in Durham, UK. He holds the position of Professor of Music at The Open University where he has taught since 2014. He holds a BA (Hons) in music (2003) and a PhD in music (2008) from the University of Durham. His dissertation was entitled ‘John Wesley and Methodist Music in the Eighteenth Century: principles and practice’. Clarke’s teaching has been recognized with numerous teaching awards.
