Like Noah’s weary dove.  William Augustus Muhlenberg* (1796-1877). This imaginative treatment of Genesis 8: 8-9 was one of the hymns contributed by Muhlenberg to the 1826 hymnal of the Episcopal Church in America entitled The Book of Common Prayer, and Administration of the Sacraments and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church in the United States of America, known as the ‘Prayer Book Collection’.
