Lawrence Edmond Schultz
SCHULTZ, Lawrence Edmond (‘Larry E.’). b. Tulsa, Oklahoma, 3 October 1965. Larry E. Schultz is a composer of hymn texts and music and an active church musician. He received his early training in music through churches in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From age thirteen, he participated as vocalist, pianist, trumpeter, choral conductor, and congregational song leader. At age fifteen, he became the part-time Minister of Music for Tulsa’s Phoenix Avenue Baptist Church, his home congregation, and was ordained to music ministry.
