Lanre Delano
DELANO, Lanre (Olanrewaju Delano). b. Lagos, Nigeria, 15 April 1959. He was encouraged to play the piano by his Christian parents which led to his lifelong love of hymns. He was a chorister at Igbobi College, then went on to study on a pioneer music programme at Obafemi Awolowo University and gained a BA in music. His early working life was in business, but in 2001 he came across a digital organ exhibition in Germany, and this chance encounter led to the establishment of CHOPIN (Church Organ Projects in Nigeria).
