Kenneth Wayne Louis
LOUIS, Kenneth Wayne. b. Louisville, Kentucky, 12 September 1956; d. Atlanta, Georgia, 18 November 2020. Louis was a well-known performer, lecturer, composer, and arranger. He was the first graduate from the University of the District of Columbia with a Bachelor of Music degree in Ethnic (Gospel) Music Studies in 1992 and a Master of Music degree in 1994 from Morgan State University. While at Morgan State, he was a student of Dr. Nathan Carter (1936–2004). Louis served as Minister of Worship and Music for thirty years at Holy Comforter—Saint Cyprian Catholic Church in Washington, DC.
