Kathleen A. Thomerson
THOMERSON, Kathleen Armstrong. b. Jackson, Tennessee, 18 February 1934. She attended the University of Texas (BM 1956, MM 1958), with further study at Syracuse University, the Flemish Royal Conservatory in Antwerp where she was a student of Flor Peeters (1903-86), and in Paris with Jean Langlais*. She was director of music at the University United Methodist Church in St Louis, Missouri; and taught organ at the St Louis Conservatory and at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Thomerson is a Fellow of The American Guild of Organists, that organization’s highest level of certification.
