Joseph Willcox Jenkins
JENKINS, Joseph Willcox. b. 15 February 1928. Jenkins holds a pre-law degree from Saint Joseph’s University, at which time he also studied composition with Vincent Persichetti at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. He earned both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Thomas Canning, Bernard Rogers and Howard Hanson. At the Catholic University of America (PhD in music composition) he studied with Thaddeus Jones and Conrad Bernier.
