Jonathan Friedrich Bahnmaier
BAHNMAIER, Jonathan Friedrich. b. Obersternfeld, Württemberg, 12 July 1774; d. Kirchheim-unter-Teck, 18 August 1841. He was educated at the University of Tübingen. In 1798 he returned to Obersternfeld to assist his father, the Stadtprediger or ‘Town Preacher’. He was Diaconus at Marbach (1806-10) and at Ludwigsburg (1810-15), where he also taught in a school. In 1815 he returned to Tübingen as Professor of Education and Homiletics, but resigned, becoming town preacher at Kirchheim-unter-Teck from 1819 until his death.
