John Wesley Oldham
OLDHAM, John Wesley. b. Sarnia, Ontario, 11 April, 1945. John Oldham grew up in Ottawa, Ontario. He studied History and Philosophy at Carleton University, Ottawa (BA, 1966) before pursuing Theology at Emmanuel College, Toronto (BD, 1969). In 1969, he was ordained in The United Church of Canada. Over the next 25 years, he served rural and urban congregations across Manitoba before being called to Rama United Church near Orillia, ON. Conflicts in this pastoral charge led to Oldham being placed on the Discontinued Service List in 1998. He now lives in Winnipeg with his wife, where he is a lay member of a local congregation.
