Jim Strathdee
STRATHDEE, James (Jim). b. Sacramento, California, 9 May 1941. Jim Strathdee studied music at California State University at Northridge and at the University of Redlands, California. He began his career in church music in the United Methodist Church at fourteen. Together he and his wife Jean Stevens Strathdee have conducted music ministries across the United States, Central America and Canada since 1976, teaching congregations how to sing through music workshops and conferences. They formed a music publishing and recording company, Caliche Records/Desert Flower Music, to sell their music scores and recordings.
