Jesus’ hands were kind hands, doing good to all. Margaret Cropper* (1886-1980). Written ca. 1926, and published in Margaret Cropper’s Hymns and Songs for the Church Kindergarten (National Society, Central Council for Religious Education, 1939), and possibly earlier. It is a short, two verse hymn with a strong rhythm, admirably suited to very small children because of its shortness and its simplicity. It was found in The School Hymn Book of the Methodist Church (1948) and in Sunday School Praise (1958), before being included in Britain and Ireland in CH3 (1973) and several other books (HP, RS, ICH5, the Scottish CH4).
