Jesus is coming to earth again. Lelia Morris* (1862-1929).
First published in a book of gospel songs, The King’s Praises, no 3 (Philadelphia, 1912), edited by Henry J. Gilmour, George W. Sanville, William J. Kirkpatrick* and Melvin J. Hill. Its date is normally given as 1912, but whether this refers to composition or publication is not clear. It is found in many evangelical books of the 20th century in the USA, including the Billy Graham Campaign Songs of 1950, successive editions of the Baptist Hymnal (1956, 1975, 1991, 2008), The Worshiping Church and other books.
