Jack Winslow
WINSLOW, John Copley (Jack). b. Hanworth, Middlesex, 18 August 1882; d. Godalming, Surrey, 1 April 1974. He was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford (BA 1906, MA 1911). He then trained for the priesthood at Wells Theological College, taking Holy Orders (deacon 1907, priest 1908). After a curacy at Wimbledon, south-west London (1907-11), he was a lecturer at St Augustine’s College, Canterbury (1911-14), followed by 19 years in India as a missionary for the Society of the Propagation of the Gospel.
