Imagine the dream of creation (Caring Community). Pat Mayberry* (1950– ).  Mayberry credits Rev. Elisabeth Jones as co-writer of the lyrics of ‘Caring Community’ (2016). Listening from the choir loft as Jones spoke at church during a period of several weeks, Mayberry wove into the song Jones’s images of becoming part of ‘the dream of God’, and of being a ‘caring community’ (Mayberry, 2021, email).  Pat Mayberry has collaborated in recent years with pianist, composer and lyric writer David Kai*, a diaconal minister in the United Church of Canada, who has arranged many of her songs, including ‘Caring Community’, in an SATB voicing with piano accompaniment.
