From the appendix (‘nebst geistlichen Liedern’) of Arndt’s Von dem Wort und dem Kirchenliede nebst geistlichen Liedern (Bonn, 1819), his proposal for a hymn book for the whole of Germany. It is found in five 8-line stanzas in the ‘Rechtfertigung und Zuversicht’ (‘Righteousness and Confidence’) section of EG (EG 357).
