I will make the darkness light. Charles Price Jones* (1865-1949).  ‘I will make the darkness light’ is one of Jones’s best-known hymns both inside Church of Christ (Holiness) USA (COCHUSA) congregations and beyond. Often sung as a solo, the text of this hymn reassures the hearer and singer that regardless of the circumstance, victory and provision are the only outcomes with Christ.  The hymn was written ca. 1907 (Jones [1935], 1988, p. 70).
