Help us, O Lord, to learn. William Watkins Reid, Jr.* (1923-2009).
Submitted to the Hymn Society of America, which collaborated with The International Journal of Religious Education on the theme of Christian education to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the journal in 1959. It was published in Fifteen New Christian Education Hymns (Hymn Society of America, New York, 1959). It is found in H82, and in some other books in the USA; but before that it became popular in British books and in Australia (WOV and Together in Song: the Australian Hymn Book II). It is found, for example, in 100HfT, and thus in A&MNS, and it is retained in A&MCP. It is also in ICH5, in HP, and in other books...
