Gracia Grindal
GRINDAL, Gracia Marie. b. Powers Lake, North Dakota, 4 May 1943. Grindal spent her early years in North Dakota and Salem, Oregon. She studied at Augsburg College in Minneapolis (BA, 1965); spent a year in Oslo, Norway; and continued her studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville (MFA, 1969), and Luther Seminary, St Paul, Minnesota (MA 1983). She taught English writing and poetry at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa (1968-84) and returned to Luther Seminary in 1984 to teach pastoral theology, ministry, and communications until her retirement in 2013.
