George Alfred Taylor Rygh

RYGH, George Alfred Taylor. b. Chicago, 21 March 1860; d. Northfield, Minnesota, 16 July 1942. His education was exclusively Lutheran, first at Luther College (AB 1881) and then at Luther Seminary and Capital University. He taught briefly at Luther Seminary in 1883 before becoming pastor at Portland, Maine (1884-89). He taught at Wittenberg Academy (1889-90) before becoming pastor at Grand Forks, North Dakota (1890-91) and then a teacher at North Dakota University (1891-95). Then he was successively teacher at Mount Horeb, Wisconsin (1895-98), pastor at Chicago (1899-1910), teacher at St Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota (1910-13), and pastor at Minneapolis (1920-30).
