Geoff Weaver

WEAVER, Geoffrey. b. Bath, Somerset, 31 December 1943. He was educated at City of Bath Boys’ School, then at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge (1962-1965) where he read music. After taking up teaching posts at Maidstone Grammar School and Bristol Grammar School, he went on to work for the Church Missionary Society in Hong Kong from 1975 to 1981. On his return to England he became Director of Music at Bradford Cathedral where he established a cathedral orchestra, and lectured part-time at Leeds University.
