Filled with the Spirit’s power, with one accord. John Raphael Peacey* (1896-1971). This three-stanza hymn was first published in 100HfT and thus in A&MNS. It was entitled ‘Fellowship in the Holy Spirit’. It has remained in the A&M tradition in A&MCP and A&MRW, with stanza 3 line 2 altered from ‘In your strong care the men of every race’ to ‘in your strong care all those of every race’, as it was in HP. The Companion to HP (1988) notes that it is a valuable hymn because ‘it speaks of the fellowship of the Holy Spirit rather than the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the individual believer’ (p. 206).
