Edward Woodall Naylor
NAYLOR, Edward Woodall. b. Scarborough, 9 February 1867; d. Cambridge, 7 May 1934. After early study with his father, John Naylor, organist of York Minster, he gained a choral scholarship to Emmanuel College, Cambridge (1884-87) and continued his education at the Royal College of Music (1888-92). He was organist of St Michael’s, Chester Square, London (1889-96); St Mary’s, Kilburn (1896-97); Emmanuel College, Cambridge (1897-1934); also lecturer at Emmanuel College (1902-32). He was assistant music master at the Leys School in Cambridge.
