Dismiss us with thy blessing, Lord. Joseph Hart* (1712-1768).  This was not in Hart’s 1759 hymnbook, but ‘from his Supplement, 1762’ JJ, (p. 493), referring to the Second Edition, with Supplement, of Hymns, &c. composed on Various Subjects, by J. Hart (1762). We have used the Third Edition (1763):  Dismiss us with thy Blessing, Lord. Help us to feed upon thy Word. All that has been amiss, forgive: And let thy Truth within us live,  Tho’ we are guilty, thou art good. Wash all our Works in Jesu’s Blood.
