DUFNER, Delores (OSB). b. near Buxton, North Dakota, 20 Feb 1939. Born in the family farmhouse during a winter blizzard, Dufner’s elementary education was in a one-room country school; she was later educated by the Benedictine Sisters in Crookston, Minnesota. She entered St. Joseph’s Benedictine Monastery in St. Joseph, Minnesota, and was awarded graduate degrees in Liturgical Music (1973) and Liturgical Studies (1990) from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
