David Lee
LEE, David. b. Marston Green, West Midlands, 26 July 1956. He grew up in south Manchester, and gained a BSc in Geophysics at the University of Durham (1975-78), followed by an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Newcastle. During his schooldays he played the piano and organ at All Hallows’ Church, Cheadle, Cheshire, and was ‘Abbey Musician’ at Iona in the summer months of 1975 and 1976. At Durham during his undergraduate years he was a founder member of the music group at St Nicholas’ Church.
In 1979 he returned to Durham to work in the University’s Computing Service, rejoining St Nicholas’ Church, where he became deputy leader of the music group. By 1995 he had settled with his...
