FOX, David. b. Pontypool, Glamorgan, 23 January 1956; d. 2008. He was educated at University College, London, and Westminster College, Oxford (PGCE). After a short time as a teacher of Chemistry, he became a minister of the United Reformed Church (Certificate of Theology, Mansfield College, Oxford), and is now a minister in North Wales. He published The Various Praise (1986, Second Edition 1995), and has translated hymns from Welsh. Three of his hymns are found in RS:
‘At the dawning of creation’, entitled ‘Water means Life’ a hymn for baptism; it is used also in the ‘Christian Initiation’ section of A&MRW.
